Frequently Asked Questions

How do I become a member of the NWA Men's Chorus?

When and where are rehearsals?

  • We rehearse at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Springdale on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 pm., typically September - November and February - May.

When are concerts?

  • We have a Winter Concert and a Spring Concert (typically the first week of December and June).

What type of music does the NWA Men's Chorus perform?

  • A mix of men’s choral music including classical, sacred, jazz, gospel, contemporary, and popular styles.  We don’t “specialize” in a particular area of music, but we do take the opportunity to use familiar pieces to tell a musical story in a fresh way.

Are there member dues?

  • Yes, members pay dues for each concert cycle (Winter and Spring).  Dues are $30 per concert cycle, or $50 for the year. Members also pay a one-time uniform fee of $35.

Does the Chorus offer scholarships?

  • Yes, thanks to a few generous donors, we have a scholarship program for members who are not able to pay for dues or uniform.  Scholarships are confidential and are handled between the recipient and managing director only.
